Great North Run 2023 – The Final Bow


Sir Mo Farah, Britain's most decorated track and field athlete, concluded his competitive running career on September 10, 2023, at the Great North Run in Newcastle. Finishing fourth with a time of 1:03:28, he shared emotional moments with spectators, high-fiving fans along the final stretch. Ethiopia’s Tamirat Tola won the race in 59:58.

A London Farewell – The Big Half


A week earlier, on September 3, 2023, Farah ran his last competitive race in London at The Big Half marathon, also finishing fourth. He described the experience as “quite emotional” and acknowledged that “when you've achieved everything, it must come to an end at some point.”

A Legacy of Greatness


With four Olympic gold medals and six World Championship titles, Mo Farah has left an indelible mark on athletics. Announcing his retirement in April 2023, he expressed a desire to spend more time with his family while staying involved in the sport.
